Ok First of all I'm about to get one of the Viper 5902 Alarm systems... I would like the Remote start. But since this is Australia and If I ever see snow here I'll think the world is about to end, I don't need the remote start. BUT, does anyone know weather this system will work with the Smart Key, as in, can I unlock the doors and disarm the alarm with the proximity key just like normal, Or is this Viper one going to completely replace this...

I like the look of the zenesis alarm better! ha IMO

But I was reading somewhere it can be done, but takes extra work to make it work....also read somewhere it wont work with the keyless entry system...

most places that install auto start will make you sign a waiver that its your fault if you start the car in gear

wow thats awesome lol. Totally defeats the purpose of keyless entry, screw that lol. + he is leaving his key in the ignition lol all someone has to do is bust a window and turn the key. Sure the alarm will go off but your car is gone lol. Also yeah its fully possible to put remote start in a standard however is not recommended and some places illegal because some people have started it up in gear and BAM SMASH CRASH their car hits whatever is in front of it.  Ouch! because I bet its usually in the driveway and you sir have yourself 2 repair bills or maybe a broken bumper and a new garage door. either way its not good lol

Sorry about the confusion, I don't want the smart start, after seeing that video haha. I want the alarm system only, the 5902 alarm - Smart Start.

What I was wondering, Does anyone know if I lock the door with the button on the car, If the alarm will turn on. Also If I Unlock the car with the handle (Smart Key) will it unlock, and let me start the car without the key?

Hello all, I am the person who did that video and own viper 5902, someone said that they can brake my window and just take the car kz I leave a key there well answer is NO. Because if you try to start it with that key it wont start.  Even if you leave the key inside and try to remote started it will not start either.  I had the car for a yr before I install the system and I NEVER left it in gear.  And YES you can get remote start with manual transmission, but this system is awesome because you can put a protection.  If you set the car in manual mode you have to do something before you can remote start it. But I took that crap off lol. I had to do is once you got to your destination I had to pull ebrake, click the remote start, get off the car, and lock it, and once you lock it the car would turn off.  I LOVE this system and I don't feel bad getting it. Yes, I would recommend it.  Only thing you will lose a key unless they made a module by now.  And yes you do lose the keyless entrie.(technically no, but if you open it without disarming the viper the viper alarm will go off. and if you lock it with the button on the door and then later when you come back you open it with the viper remote the factory alarm goes off) so I just lock it with the viper only.

So your saying, If I put this in, I can no longer use the smart key to open the doors, I don't have the factory alarm. That's why I want this, but I don't want to loose the Auto Unlocking Doors, That's one of the best features of the GTS/VRX.

No you wont lose the smart key to open the door, but if you do use it the viper alarm will get trigger.  Great feature of the viper alarm is that you can set it to autolock and close the doors after a min, I have it to auto alarm but not lock because im afraid I will leave the keys inside lol to make it simple tmm Ill make a video of this so you can see what im talking about....

Yeah that would DEFF help sooo much, some ignorants think they know it all and comment on my video that I should of got 3 keys and they MUST have the module, while I know I went to few places and they guy call viper reps and talked to them in front of me. Have you ask how much they are charging u?

Going to order the kit online $500, don't know about install yet, but im not getting the Remote Start, Its illegal where I am anyhow.

Really?? kz this system has a safety for manual cars.... ohh wait australia so u have the steering wheele on the other side?? lol I went there like 3 years ago and I loved it..... and I wasnt able to do the video and wont be for the next few 2 days kz im getting hit with snow storms today, tomorrow, and after. But I promise as soon as it gets nice ill make one.

That's ok, I got all the time in the world. My car is in a locked garage and will be for about 6 months so... I have time lol.
