good post , right out of service manual . Which if you own a lancer you should have and read.

This was the most detailed view of our CVT that I have seen so far. I am very impressed by the depth of the document. The charts that show the transmissions functions under different load/speed conditions were very helpful. It was interesting to see what happens when certain faults trigger, ie sport mode lock out, etc... It also described the belt structure and function, which was also interesting. Again, great find, everyone with a CVT should have this.

Done. This could be moved to the KB: General Information, but I think this section is fine for now.
I also high recommend downloading the service manual files for anyone that wants to know more about their car.

On a side note, makes me wonder if the valves, stepper motor, and linkage are the primary causes of breakdown when turbocharging the CVT and not so much the belt or pully breaking down. But that's for different thread elsewhere.
