Spark Plug Questions
« on: December 14, 2009, 02:17:31 PM »
So I'm about to tackle the job of replacing my spark plugs and I wanted to know is there any little things I need to know before I start working. I know the gap space needed but I wanted to know what the tourqe is on each plug and any other little advice that would help out. Thanks guys you have been very helpful on my prior projects.

(*) Hand-tighten a spark plug;
(*) And, an additional quarter turn using a wrench.
I used Denso IK20 spark plug which is working very well for me.

1.The new plugs should be checked for the proper gap.
Spark plug gap: 0.7 ? 0.8 mm (0.028 ? 0.031 inch)
2.Install the spark plugs and tighten to 25 ± 4 N?m (18 ± 3 ft-lbs )                                                      MAKER
