Topic: Did anyone get 3 remotes when buying their car?

I recently heard that when purchasing our car's, we're suppose to get 3 remotes. Does anyone know if that's true or not? because i only got 2 remotes.

i only got two... and i bout a 23k car and all they gave me was a keychain that broke 5days later!!!! FML

It should only be the main set and a spare.

damn, that sucks. but yeah, i really heard that supposively we're suppose to get 3 sets of keys w/ remotes. I called the dealer and said they said that i'm suppose to talk to my salesman about it so i'ma see what happens. Also i found out that a new set of keys was $120 + the fact i got a FAST key, i gotta get it programmed which would come out to be $240.  f*ing krazy yo!

i bought mine brand new off the lot and it only came with two remotes

In my vast experience with buying new cars and working at dealers , When getting a new car or truck you only get two sets of keys period ( unless someone at dealer lost them while processing  the car , then found them later) . Also when i bought my GTS  I was only issued two fastkeys .

i only got one key, but then again i did pay 18.5 for the full package gts

When I sold it and bought a Ralliart I also got 2 FAST key remotes.

In discussing options for a remote car starter (I'm in cold cold canada....) it would cost a little extra since they had to use the security codes from the remote to install the starter.  If you get someone other than the dealership to install the car starter, i'm told that they have to destroy one of your remotes to get the security chip out of it for the starter.  Fearing this notion, I abandoned the subject and built a garage this summer instead.
