Well I guess GReddy just needed a little reassuring on the potential to make money off this. I got an email from them yesterday......

"Thank you again for your email.  We will definitely forward your email to our researchers.  If you have an links showing request or other information on similar turbo kits please feel free to email us those as well.  We appreciate your input."

So if anyone has any links or anything to turbo kits or tunes, feel free to let me know so I can give GReddy a call. I already sent marinos a message asking for the specs and tune on his 1.8 Lancer in Greece.

wow such negativity, maybe you guys should go buy hondas and toyotas and give up on your lancers . it can be done may take some effort and time , but to say its stupid in itself is stupid, with this attitude none of the past muscle cars or super cars would have never happened.

Listen, if you want a turbo kit go build one.  It will be MUCH less expensive then buying a kit from Greddy or RRM.  If you want Greddy to make a kit for you, talk to them.  I am pretty sure they will say the same thing that I am, "The Lancer just does not have a big enough market for us to justify the time/resources that would be needed for the development of a turbo kit."  Not to mention it would be $5k.

Now why would I do that when I just bought a turbo kit for my car, just didnt wait for Greddy's imaginary kit to come out.

That's awesome, but hopefully you are going to get a new clutch (assuming you are M/T), new brakes, stiffer suspension, new tires, etc. etc.

Assuming you got the RRM kit, I'm sure you got yourself a good product!  Only thing I would do differently then them is I would buy the kit minus the piggy and get it dyno tuned for optimum performance.  Only thing i am speaking out against in this forum are all of the people wanting a million different turbo options that are inexpensive.  It is just unreasonable to think that it will happen.  Custom build your own kit or save up the $$$.  Hopefully you saved up the $$$ and will do it right!  Good luck to you!

Seriously, if people have such a hard-on for Greddy, just find a Greddy turbo to incorporate into a kit: custom, rrm, RA, Evo, etc.. Then you have the best of both worlds, you dont have to wait for a Greddy kit, and you will have a Greddy turbo. You would get it tuned to work properly, of course.

There is also a HKS turbo kit for the Evo X out, if you really want a good brand kit. I am sure that could be made to work too.
