HOW TO: Stereo Removal

Tools need- Phillips Screwdriver, Flathead Screwdriver and cloth
Optional(installation)-
wiring harness, dash kit(i use single din setup), crimper, crimps, and of course the deck.
-Remove this first in the glovebox

-Pop off the cover and remove this screw

-The carbon bar pops right off starting at the bottom right hand corner

-Looks like this

-Remove these three screws on the hazard section

-The clip pushes in then you can pull out

-You CAN if you want disconnect the wiring harness, I didn't in this DIY

-Looks like this after its stripped

-With a flathead screwdriver, cloth, and patience the clips pop out

-3 of the 4 clips you are going to pop out

-What it looks like when its all popped out and can disconnect the stock wiring harness and begin you installation.

-And if you're looking for a place for your stereo wiring to go( I use 4 gauge) then this is a quick idea for you in the back right of the engine bay

Anything I missed just let me know- It was getting dark so I will update tomorrow.

Help the pics are gone!

Thanks

This member actually died in a car accident a couple of months ago. Sorry to say that the pics are gone until somebody puts another 'how to' for this up.

Please no more replies. Lock thread. something.

Just a possible future.

Took me some time to remove but I got it removed and installed back without breaking anything. Had to remove because I installed the AUX cabling to the DE stock radio.

And RIP stanley2.
