what color will u be painting it?? colormatch or flat black? or what?
hey this is "mmartahus" from the evom forums, sweet rear extension and diffuser, I cant wait to see it once its painted and on the car. I think it will enhance it a lot
Finally man. A long time coming, but that's great to hear you finally got it.
Any idea what the diameter is where the exhaust tip sits?I have the Tsudo exhaust which it pretty damn big. I'd love to snag this rear lip but fear i'd also have to buy a new exhaust
PICS!!!... PICS!!!... PICS!!!... PICS!!!... PICS!!!... PICS!!!...
hey quick question, how much was shipping charges? i was thinking about getting this too but wondering about the shipping costs
Hey, how much was the piece itself? Or how much is it total for the piece? Thanks
That's hilarious. I can't get away from this twin thing we got going on. I was looking around to order that exact same rear lip. Can't wait to see pics
okay, just received a quote. It'll be $250.00 for paint and install. The paint job includes couple layer of paint and clear coat.I got a curb rash on wheel again! My bronze wheel! The body shop said he can fix that also. That's also included in the $250 quote.I guess it's not a bad deal consider I'm getting this done professionally. I'll drop by his shop tomorrow morning. I keep you guys updated.
I wonder why at it, should I tell him to paint my caliper also. What you think?
stock calipers? leave as stock... painting them just draws attention to the puny little caliper you have hiding out behind the wheel...
That looks sick. Can't really tell by the pics but is the fitament pretty much perfect or is it a little off anywhere? I can't wait till payday so I can order mine.
It's a little off. I say it's about 95% fit, so there's some minor sanding that you might want to do.I suggest to have a professional to do the paint and install for you.Again, the pictures I show is before applying glue. The rear lip/diffuser is not on right now, I'll go back on Saturday to have the final install. I'll put more pictures on Saturday night or Sunday. Now I really want the Greddy Spectrum Elite axle-back because the rear lip/diffuser made the stock exhaust tip very small.
Looks good! It makes our car so much more complete!
so will you leave it with the seam? or will you get it bondo'd to make it look seamless?
i wasnt saying that it looked bad...i was thinking of doing the same thing cause i dont know anybody who can work with bondo
you mean no one that lives near you!
Blah, told you to move over to Boston!
haha Well...UTI does have a school there. Maybe I'll just take classes at each campus and I'll make my way around the country.
that looks awesome. personally, i think that little seam would bug me.... but at least it's not that noticeable
It does bug me a little. But I don't know how to fill the seam.
That looks awesome. It flows great with the rest of the car and gives it a more complete look. I'll be ordering mine right away after seeing how good yours looks
Just do it! And I'll order your exhaust. LOLI'm still debating on the exhaust. I want the quietest one.
looks sick. How much shipping come out to?
The 3rd shop that is suppose to be the best shop in town looked over the pics and told me for paint and install it would be... $1100. I laughed so hard when he said that that he got mad at me. I told him that I got 2 other quotes for $200 or under and he told me that I was full of sh** and was trying to trick him to get a better price. I guess I won't be going back there.
Wow! That's not only a huge price difference, it's ridiculous! lol Did the guy think you cut the original bumper and attach the rear lip or something? I don't see how he could justify charging that much, unless he's so full of himself he thinks his time is worth it.
Hey guys just wondering if anyone that has purchased the lip kit or just may know what type of material it is made of fiberglass? urethane? is it flimsy or pretty sturdy........
Looks so much better with the gap filled. You must be happy now. Damn can't wait till payday to order mine.
oh nice!! well done bro!! ha how did u fix that btw? took it to a shop? how much is cost yah to fix that gap? my bad dude for all questions.
oh... I had it done originally at a shop. I just bring it back and told him to fill the gap and also paint my front grill (see my other post). It's $250 for paint and install. No additional charge to fill the gap. The shop owner is a very nice person. He definitely just gained a new loyal customer.
I got a quote for install on this piece painted and installed for $200 sounds fairly reasonable to me.......one place would only paint for me since they had not much experience with installing lip kits for $150. Any feedback would be helpfulthanks guys.
Yeah I thought so, because I figured it would be too much trouble if they paint got scratched or something during the install it would be hell taking it back and forth in hopes of repair.
I just received my ARS Bodykits HL Rear Lip (RUS6161) today. This will be the thread I use to keep you guys updated.- Ordered the part on March 14th 2009- Send payment for shipping on April 1st 2009- Received the part on April 14th 2009As you can see the turn around time is an estimate of 1 month so please be patience if you order from ARS Bodykits. The HL Rear Lip is shipped in two pieces. It has a male and a female end where you can put the two pieces together. It even came with stickers! This picture shows I am putting it together Yay! It fits perfectly. The cutting is great!Combined piece - BACKCombined piece - FRONTDue to my work schedule, the body shop and I agreed that we'll be painting it in two pieces. The seam you see right now is because the rear lip/diffuser are just bolt on. It is held by the bolts from my Rally Armor Mud Flaps. The paint is fresh, it just got painted yesterday therefore the body shop said it would be better to wait it dry for couple of days before putting glue on there. He want to make sure when he pushes it, it will not leave any fingerprint on the paint.I'll be bringing it back on Saturday for the final installation. The rear lip/diffuser is currently off. These pictures are just a simple test fit.Installation is completed. My thoughts on it is that it made the car more complete. I do have a regret that I should have the body shop to do it in one piece instead of two pieces. The body shop technician recommended to do it in two pieces.During the installation, we originally thought we could have it to hold up using double-sided 3M tape but failed. We ended up drilling 4 holes on the bottom of the bumper. to make sure it stays still. The two sides are tighten by the same screws for the mud flaps.Gap Fixed!

Are they the Urethane or Basic ones ?
Would you happen to know the differences of the Urethane and the Basic by any chance?
Anyone know if 8709catherine's tires are the stock ?
