Sticky Please? Canyon Database
« on: March 29, 2009, 07:44:33 PM »
So I have always wanted to create a website to database and map all canyon locations great for driving. Well...someone already did it, and its a great site:

http://www.lateralg.org/

Although they are missing a few roads, but whatever I will keep those ones for myself  |wink|

Wow. Thanks for the links Steve.

As of late, I've been watching Top Gear and have been trying out roads after roads. So far, I've been to the Palomar Loop, Topanga Canyon, Hwy 94 (orange one on his name near the border of Mexico), and the one I found above Fontana. It's been fun and I am definitely trying out these roads sometime.

Hwy 74 in the San Bernardino county sounds very fun. Will try it sometime.

I should add this link too. It's how I found some of my roads I went to.

I killed Spatial Stage. I have more webspace and domain names so its not going to waste. Plus I am still doing small map side projects but I dont need a website for it.

Tat, if you are going out to those places a lot let me know, Id love to go with you and help you get more photos  |cheesy|

Definitely, I'll set something up if I go to any of them.

Do you know which one is the one he has as a picture when you click on "Santa Barbara" roads?

Im not sure to be honest...but know what the best way to find out is? Yes...we spend a weekend driving Santa Barbara  |cheesy|

I found this site searching for a road I saw in the DVD "Chasing the Touge" There is a Mini club that runs on a one way, one lane mountain road somewhere here in So Cal. I want to find that one so bad  |cry|

Because a ralliart with proper suspension upgrades and weight loss would kill an Evo with what Ill be doing. I dont want to pay an extra 10 grand + for HP that I dont need.

Yes I want the paddle shifters. Itll give me the ease of not having to heel toe and I can concentrate on left foot braking more.
