|death| so what are u estimating

Less than what the dyno says.  If that intake gives as much power as that graph says, I'll buy one and eat it.

yea if you pay for it. well  do feel a notice a improvement, to say i gained 13hp, i cant tell. for sure its 100% better to have the 2.4intake than the 2.0 one. if yall dont belive what it says on the dyno. prove that its wrong before u judge it. nj_08 are you sure your previous name wasnt I HAVE HEADERS!? u really sound just like the dude.

i just added my 2 cents, i cant say its better than the aem intake, but yea if you want the injen, i like it. specially that it was free |thumbsup|

well ambystom said the same ish on evom bout the dyno...but ive known that intakes can produce those kinds of gains, i've seen it when they do the dyno pages in import tuner or one of the other mags...jus depends on the platform, i will say its rare tho

the suggestion i received is that if, like the injen tech said, the rich fuel is whats really the key to that power..jus get a tune instead of jus buyin another piece of pipe..

yea thats why road race makes the piggy, to do that, tune the fuel/air ratio., all i could say is that its good. maybe not 13hp good but hey its not a turbo, your not going to burn the tires just by adding a intake. just letting yall know what any other vendor that sells it, is going to put up on their site. just in advance. their will always be someone in here saying its not true but they never tested the thing. im not promoting it, just like to show off that i was the first to have it lol. it has been giving me a better mpg now too. lol like 2mpg highway

oh i know, im just giving you my feedback on how i fell about it. i just hate that someone that doesnt even have a 2.4 is talking shit on something he would probably never test out for himself. as for you, i know u just wanna know the facts. if you want to hear more feedback, just wait till it comes out, and more people have it, so you could decide. ill let someone drive my car at the rrm meet we are having soon. to give more feedback. but hey u might get different results using a 5speed, the cvt does suck up a lot of power

There are a lot of ways to rig a dyno.

In the dyno sheet posted, for instance - you see in the upper right an SAE smoothing of "2".  - the closer that number is to zero, the more inflated your numbers.  Smoothing works essentially to make the graph prettier and easier to understand - but it skews numbers upwards the lower it goes.  The default value (no smoothing) is "3".  In the upper left, the temperature is in the mid 60's, yet SAE: 1 assumes a temperature of 77 degrees.  Once again, this will skew numbers upwards.

Since this isn't an independent dyno, we can also assume that they've re-programed the barrel to a different weight in order to rig the numbers upwards universally across every product they make.  This is not unusual for manufacturers of aftermarket parts.

Other ways to cook dyno numbers are to make the runs too close together without proper time in between runs to let the car fully cool - which we can see is the case in the dyno sheet posted; improperly tying down the car on purpose; turning on the A/C during the baseline run; having the hood open; running a fan pointed at the car while the hood is open.

Obviously, if it feels good, buy it and have fun!   |cheesy|  I can't argue with that...nobody can.  But if you want facts swamps420 - there they are.  Nobody is talking shit here, I promise you.

all other factors aside..wouldn't u wanna run a fan when doin the dyno only DURING the run to simulate the car being on the road n the air bein forced in?

Air isn't forced in with a naturally aspirated car.  And the fan is there for purposes of temperature - not for simulating any sort of road condition.

well it really sounded like u have a problem with injen, hey no hard feeling but  u did sound like i have headers......
like i said i recommend it to those who had the 2.0 model cuz they tuned it to work with the 2.4. feels a lot better than the other one. on the plus side it one of the few that people could say its for the 09 gts and not the 08+
