I would imagine it would... the screws holding it into the bumper are not sturdy at all...

We actually had the splitter on Crystal's car torn off!  She was backing up out her carport spot, and some snow was behind her car. the back of the splitter caught the snow, and everything came right off but the front bars, they were the only thing holding it on.  We plan on re-installing when it warms up a little bit.

If you haven't already, I would now recommend re-enforcing the little screws in the bumper with washers on the bottom of the splitter and inside the bumper and finish inside the bumper with a nut or something.  Keep that baby attached!!!

Aw that sucks guys! Hopefully it didn't tear or rip a hole in your stock kit. That would suck because repairing it would be a whole other problem.

I didn't get a real good look at it, but it appears that the weak a* little screws just pulled out due to unexpected pressure and force of the car backing up against them...

I am pretty confident that a washer and nut on the inside of the bumper should sufficiently solve the problem!

I like the look alot. I live in New England and we get a but load of snow. I like this mod because you can just un-bolt it for the winter and bolt it back on when the weather is nice. Looks sweet on your car. How well is it holding up ?
