Front splitters just came in from RRM.. Problem is they didn't come with instructions... Any idea on installing it?
good write up. The car really is not that fast or fast enough to require them. At least you have some type of cash trying to make it look all go.
Its for looks, so don't trip. I'm turning it into a VIP
Not trippin, trust. Just hope you do not turn it, into some rice-honduh thing!
Yo K Nguyen. I would like to see some pics of it. How are you setting it up, with the rods that came with it to give the splitter a drop look or attaching the splitter right underneath the bumper???
CORRECTION. $10 cheaper than the RRM carbon fiber splitters.
Super easy! takes like 5 minutes! You will need:RRM Front SplitterHardware (included with shipment)A drill with 3/8 drill bitFirst you need to remove the three bolts on each side that hold the front accents on the bumper for the GTS.Then you need to hold the splitter up to the bumper and put the screws through the washers and screw them in. If you are by yourself, I would recommend using phone books to hold it up!Screw them in one at a time starting from the outside and working your way in from one side of the car to the other. The you will want to attach the front supports to the splitter and decide positioning preference through the grille. There is a black piece on the front portion of your engine bay that forces air into the snorkel, if you haven't already removed that, you will need to take it off to get ur hands/ wrench down to where the support will come through the grille. It is held on by just a couple of those push pin things. easily removed.I recommend getting the support on the driver's side tightened down first so that you don't have to fight with positioning on the side you will have to drill through.Once the driver's side is done, make sure you know exactly where you will want the passenger side to be positioned before you drill the hole in the plastic! Once you have the placement decided, drill away!Once you have the support tightened through the whole, your splitter is installed! Enjoy the look and watch out for dips and speed bumps!
Yeah, I'm gonna use the rods it came with. But I'm gonna paint it today or tmrw. I'll take pics when its done installing. Any pics request though?
