Pretty rough day!

Went to Radium to enjoy hotspring. Upon arrival, there's a clunking noise at the engine bay. Found out that my newly replacement serp belt jump 2 notches and a missing AC pulley bolt. Then had no choice to drive it back carefully. Then on Canmore it gave up. Thank God I had my old serp belt.

I will try the cruise logging tomorrow if it'll work.

Wow man hope everything works out. I don't want to scare you butcher sane thing happened to me and it was because my drive pulley went and then caused the rest of the pulleys to apparently warp resulting in a 1300$ bill so let's just hope it's not that.

Drive pulley meaning the crank pulley? Would it not be charge under warranty?

Depends what broke. If it was the plastic bushing on the drive pulley then that will be covered under the 60k bumper to bumper and in my case that part of the warranty was done.

Did you go with the A piller or steering columb? How's the fitment?

Went with the a pillar and color is damn near identical fitment was good after some trimming lol

Oh Darn! I just reached 64k kms. But I was told by the first owner of my car that he extended the warranty for another two years and gave me a copy of the sheet. Faxed it to the dealership and see what happens...

Oh well. Thing like this happens... Well see, what diagnosis is. Then I'll just DIY it if possible and if the cost too high...

Unfortunately, my belt problem is not under warranty anymore.

Only covered up to 60,000kms?! I thought it'd be covered under 5 Year or 100,000kms.

I asked them about it and the pulleys were covered under bumper to bumper which is 60k kms. And maybe because I don't get my car serviced on their dealership, that's why they didn't do what they call "goodwill" to fix the problem.

But they said I still have the engine under warranty.

The bill was originally $1900 because the tech thought he needs to change the alternator as well.

But still thanked God that the car didn't break on the mountains on my home. It could've been worse...
