                                                          SE-AWD       GT
Front Wheel Drive (FWD)                     -         STD
Electronically controlled 4WD system    STD           -
Engine Type                                         2.4L I4       2.0L I4
Engine Code                                        4B12        4B11

I don get why people saying SE is slower than GT, apparently SE has a better engine than GT, price is cheaper, plus AWD. Who will get the GT only because of the RA bumper? I coulda just add a grand later for the bumper if i want to. SE is way to go. Thumb down for GT.  ::/D

Between the two, I'd expect similar to the current situation.  Tuning issues aside, the 2.0 is slightly better with an after the fact turbo due to the thicker cylinder walls and shorter stroke vs the 2.4.  Higher revs and better ability to deal with cylinder pressures.

Of course if it doesn't come with AWD then what's the point?  Who wants a FWD with 600hp?  Maybe we could take that & start a backwards drag race to 23mph??  Can ya just imagine?  It might be a funny niche market.

I think if we want a cheap AWD car with massive potential we should look elsewhere.  It almost seems like Mitsu is taking steps to prevent their cheaper cars from being over-tuned to produce crazy power.

GT- Lighter , Manual , FWD
SE- Heavier, CVT, Outlander drivetrain

In certain conditions the SE could have an advantage but on dry pavement the GT would still be a better performer . I could be wrong though
